My World
The world that I would like to see – Contains the soul of poetry.
Look deep within to find the roots – To judge a tree, just taste its fruits.
If mankind would but disapprove – All the guns would be removed. The children would all laugh and play – No guns would steal their lives away.
In my world we would all be free- Rejoicing in our unity. Another fruit that would cast its seed – Is when our words equal our deeds.
May man be judged by what he knows – Let poetry stand next to prose. With pen in hand I now shall draw - A world that has no need for law.
No one will experience the hunger – Or want to change by looking younger. No one shall feel unloved or flawed – For every soul is part of God.
