New Love

What words shall I write tonight

That I did not write before?

What new thoughts do I feel tonight

That I have not felt before?

All the songs that sing of love

I have sung to you before,

And all the poetry that has been written,

Are poems that I wrote to you before.

All the art that had been created

Is the painting I have made of you,

And all the love that lovers desire

Is contained within my love for you.

Yet every moment of the day,

When thoughts about you come my way,

I feel each thought is fresh and new,

As is my love, tonight, for you.
